Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Reelmate ("the Service"), operated by Reelmate ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Reelmate is an AI-powered platform that enables brands and creators to generate short-form video content. The Service includes brand profile management, asset uploading, AI content generation, a public social feed, brand leaderboards, and credit-based billing.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or generate harmful content.

4. Credits & Payments

Video generation requires credits ("reels"). New accounts receive 1 free reel. Additional reels can be purchased through the platform via Stripe.

All purchases are final. Credits do not expire and are non-transferable. Refunds may be issued at our discretion for failed generations or technical issues.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing purchased credits will not be affected by price changes.

5. Content Ownership & License

Your Assets: You retain ownership of all brand assets (images, logos, characters) you upload to Reelmate. By uploading, you grant us a license to use these assets to provide the Service (generate videos, display on the platform).

Generated Content: Videos and text generated by the Service using your assets are owned by you. You may use, download, and distribute generated content freely, including for commercial purposes.

Public Content: When you make content or assets public, you grant other Reelmate users a non-exclusive license to view and interact with that content. Public brand assets may be used by other users to generate their own videos.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Create deepfakes or impersonate real individuals without their consent
• Generate sexually explicit, violent, or hate-speech content
• Upload assets you do not have the right to use (copyrighted characters, trademarks, etc.)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI generation systems
• Use automated tools to mass-generate content or circumvent rate limits
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our permission

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content generated by AI may be inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate despite our safety measures. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing or sharing it. We do not guarantee that generated content will be suitable for any particular purpose. You assume full responsibility for how you use generated content.

8. Intellectual Property

The Reelmate platform, including its design, code, branding, and AI systems, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written consent.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. AI generation times may vary. We are not liable for delays in content generation.

10. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict any content on the platform that violates these terms or is reported by other users. We may use automated systems to detect violations. Repeated violations may result in account termination.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reelmate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reelmate from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to the Service or other users. Unused credits are forfeited upon account termination for cause.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
